Christina Popescu is an E-RYT 200 (experienced registered yoga teacher) with over 10 years of teaching experience. She is also a certified mat Pilates instructor though Power Pilates and is currently in the process of completing her comprehensive Pilates apparatus certification with Balanced Body. She has additional trainings in restorative yoga, prenatal yoga, and pre/postnatal Pilates. Never an athletic child, she was often one of the last students picked for a team in gym class. After seeing her father and other family members deal with the daily maintenance of diabetes self-care, she began running in her late teens to help get in shape, build self-confidence, and most importantly, start a healthy lifestyle. So far, Christina has run 6 marathons and nearly a dozen half marathons.
When she is not running or on her yoga mat, she spends her time chasing after her toddler, hanging out with her husband, and keeping up with her 2 dogs and 2 cats.
