Rakeem Marcelle is from Vero Beach Florida, and moved to DC in 2016 to pursue a Master’s Degree in Tumor Biology and Georgetown University. He is currently employed at Georgetown University Hospital where he works in the Histocompatibility Lab. Rakeem has been involved in athletics his entire life leading him to play college football at Brown University. After his football career ended Rakeem found CrossFit as a way to stay competitive and pursue an active and healthy lifestyle. Now as a part-time coach at CrossFit Rosslyn he works to push his athletes to reach PRs and battle their weaknesses.
